Who We Are
The Gold Coast Business Association (GCBA) brings together local businesses — shops, restaurants, service providers, and creatives — to support one another and strengthen the communities we serve.
We create opportunities for connection and visibility, encourage collaboration among members, and help keep local commerce strong and resilient.
A Community Built Over Time
GCBA has been part of the local business landscape for decades. Over the years, many business owners have volunteered their time, served on the board, and helped guide the organization — often while running their own businesses just down the street.
That shared responsibility is part of what defines GCBA. Leadership is community-driven, and members step up because they care deeply about the places where they live and work.
Community involvement is an important part of GCBA’s work. Learn more on our GCBA Gives Back page.
How We Work
Local-First Focus
GCBA exists to support businesses rooted in the Gold Coast. We prioritize local relationships, local commerce, and the long-term health of our towns.
Connection Over Competition
We believe businesses are stronger when they collaborate. GCBA creates space for members to share ideas, experiences, and opportunities in a supportive environment.
Member-Led & Hands-On
GCBA is shaped by its members. Business owners volunteer their time, participate in events, and help guide the organization based on real needs and shared priorities.
A Recent Example: The Glen Head Car Show
In 2024, GCBA hosted the second annual Glen Head Car Show in the train station parking lot — the same location that has anchored local commerce in the area for generations.
The event brought together classic and antique cars, local vendors, live music, and families from across the region. Surrounding businesses reported increased foot traffic, stronger sales, and new customer connections throughout the day.
Compared to its first year, the event saw increased sponsorship support and expanded media coverage, helping raise visibility for both the association and participating businesses.
The car show was organized by GCBA members and led by President Jeannie Riccardo, with support from volunteers and local partners — a clear example of how GCBA brings businesses together to create meaningful, shared impact.

Get Involved
with GCBA
GCBA is shaped by the people who participate — business owners who attend meetings, support events, sponsor initiatives, and lend a hand when it matters.
There are many ways to get involved, and participation looks different for every member. What matters most is showing up and being part of the community.
